Hello! My name is Ellis and I am currently in my second year of BA Japanese and Economics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London.
I’m an avid writer, and so I created this blog as a hub for my adventures from all over the world.
I’m also a keen runner- don’t be fooled though, I’m no natural. Instead, for me running is about the goals, the distances, and the challenges- both physical and mental. You can expect to find a fair bit of content regarding my training, while other posts will usually be a dramatic retelling of my daily life.
There’s so much going on this year- it’s going to be beautiful chaos. I’m determined to not let a single moment go amiss, so please feel free to browse every little story on this blog. Admittedly, it’s all very personal, which is a nice way of writing “self-indulgent drivel”, but I think it’s important to document the highs, the lows, the doubts, and the regrets- maybe there’s something to be learned from them. At the end of the day, everything we do is a story, and sometimes it’s nice to just look back and laugh.
Created in London, moulded in Medway. This is my blog, and I hope you enjoy your stay.
